Day 1Arrival in Rome

Day 2Early Christian and medieval Rome
Explore San Pietro in Vincoli, the Basilica of San Clemente and its archaeological levels, discovering some of Rome’s most significant connections between antiquity and Christianity.
Day 3Renaissance Rome and the Vatican
Visit the Vatican Museums with a focus on Renaissance art, including Raphael’s Parnassus and the Sistine Chapel, before continuing to St Peter’s Basilica and St Peter’s Square.
Day 4Rome to Assisi
Travel to Assisi, stopping at Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola before exploring the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the historic centre and the Basilica of St Francis.
Day 5Assisi and the Hermitage of the Carceri
Enjoy time to experience Assisi at a measured pace before visiting the secluded Hermitage of the Carceri, closely associated with the spiritual life of St Francis.
Day 6Perugia and Florence
Continue through Umbria to Perugia for a guided introduction to its historic centre, then travel onward to Florence.
Day 7In Dante’s Footsteps through Florence
Follow Dante’s world through Florence, including Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Santa Croce and historic streets, towers and civic landmarks connected to the poet and his time.
Day 8Florence — Uffizi Gallery & Renaissance Art
Explore the Uffizi Gallery and its extraordinary collection of Renaissance masterpieces, followed by time to experience Florence at your own pace.
Day 9Lucca and Pisa
Travel to Lucca for a guided exploration of its historic centre before continuing to Pisa to discover Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower from the exterior and Piazza dei Cavalieri.
Day 10Florence to Siena
