Day 1

Arrival in Rome

Private arrival assistance, hotel check-in and a welcome dinner introduce the group to the journey ahead.

Days 2–4

Ancient and Christian Rome

Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Capitoline Hill before discovering the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. Continue through the catacombs, the Appian Way, Ostia Antica and Rome’s principal Christian basilicas.

Days 5–6

Assisi and the Franciscan tradition

Travel to Assisi to visit Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola, San Damiano, the Basilica of St Francis, Santa Chiara and the peaceful Hermitage of the Carceri.

Day 7

San Gimignano and Florence

Journey through the Tuscan countryside, explore the medieval towers and streets of San Gimignano, and continue to Florence.

Days 8–9

Renaissance Florence

Experience the Accademia, Florence Cathedral area, Piazza della Signoria, Santa Croce, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, with time for personal exploration.

Day 10

Ravenna

Discover Ravenna’s early Christian monuments, historic baptisteries, remarkable mosaics and the tomb of Dante.

Days 11–13

Venice and its islands

Explore St Mark’s Square, St Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Accademia and Santa Maria della Salute. Spend a day travelling privately by boat between Murano, Burano and Torcello.

Day 14

Departure from Venice
